In the early days, Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter — aka the robots that make up the EDM pioneers we know as Daft Punk — appeared on a smattering of press photos and even a magazine cover with their faces exposed, but by the time they released Homework, they had completely retreated behind the robot helmets. There’s no doubt the guys are happy with the decision, considering their return auspicious to the public eye in the wake of “Get Lucky,” the debut single from their first album in eight years. As Daft Punk obsessives chart the duo’s sound over the years, they’ll also have opportunity to examine the evolution of their signature helmets, thanks to this poster created a while back by Agent Raybans that was posted on The Daft Club fansite.
